There will always be an Official Marc Alaimo Fan Club, but one of its primary functions will end with the last episode of Deep Space Nine. So this may be our last chance for the Big Blowout Bash to get together and celebrate our honoree. Marc is not hanging up his career, by any means, but with DS9 no longer calling him in at a moment's notice, the likelihood of him being tied up is lessened, and we can plan this event with a high degree of confidence in his ability to be in attendance. Besides which, we're sneakily holding it in a location just a few miles away from where he lives, so he can't get lost on the way, or plead it's too far to come.
We hope to coax some of Marc's friends on DS9 to attend, and will keep you posted as to our progress/ successes. Dream team: Marc, Casey, Jeff, Andy -- the Great guest character actors.
We have secured a favorable rate for people staying at the Radisson Hotel, Agoura Hills during the weekend. Each night's room is $85 single or double occupancy. For those arriving Friday, there will be a BYOB bar set up in the OMAFC Hospitality Suite from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.. Saturday's Pool Party (towels provided) starts at 2:00 p.m. and continues until 4:00 or we all get too tired. The Big Banquet Dinner and Charity Auction featuring our Guest(s) of Honor starts with a no-host bar at 6:00 p.m. and dinner should be served around 7:30. Most of the auction items will be offered by silent bidding, with just a few irresistible goodies to be auctioned off live by Marc and/or friends.
