Dunhuang ART of Mr. Zhenfu Li

Mr. Zhenfu Li was born in Anhui province of china in 1940,and began to study painting in Anhui Art College in 1958. In 1959 he was singled out to study in Beijing Central Industrial Arts College, majoring in mural painting and was assigned to work in Gansu Dunhuang Cultural Research Institute in 1964. Now he is the research member , the Director of Art Research Institute and member of Asian Cultural Exchange Association. He has been engaged in coping and reproducing the historical frescoes ,working in Dunhuang Mogao Caves, the art treasure house. His works have been sent to Japan, France, America, Indian and Taiwan etc. to be put on display at the exhibition of Dunhuang Frescoes . Some of them have been collected by China History Museum and Japan Gallery. In 1981 he was invited to Xian Film Studio to produce a nearly 100 square-meter large scale fresco for the film named <<Flower and Rain on the Silk Road>>. In 1982 and 1983, he produced for Dunhuang Hotel an outdoor stone mural painting <<Dunhuang on the Way of the Silk Road>> which was high above the ground and a decoration mural painting which was regarded as a work if art representing the characteristics of modern 1980's on the ceiling of the hall. He also produced an <<Ode to Fly>> for China-Japanese friendship Association Station and a fresco << Bright Moon with the Sun>> for the Dunhuang Research Institute new administration area during the period of the year of 1988 to 1989. This is realized as the new fresco with real Dunhuang Art. |
